1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ModelDock.run (“the Service”), operated by ModelDock (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ModelDock.run is a hosted dbt-core scheduling platform that allows users to connect GitHub repositories, configure database connections, and run dbt-core projects on a schedule. The Service includes project management, run monitoring, artifact storage, and alerting capabilities.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
  • Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent

5. Data and Credentials

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including database credentials, GitHub tokens, and dbt project code. We encrypt sensitive credentials using AES-256-GCM at rest. We do not access, read, or share your credentials or project data except as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect repositories and databases to the Service.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability, and will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.

7. Beta Period

During the open beta period, the Service is provided free of charge. Beta features may change, be removed, or experience interruptions. We make no guarantees about the availability or stability of beta features. When the beta period ends, continued use will require a paid subscription.

8. Payment and Billing

Paid plans will be billed monthly in advance. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ModelDock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
